Install License

Once you have requested a license , you then have to install the license file you received back.

Steps to install a license

Open the "<Mia-License Manager Directory>\licenses" folder (the license manager is supposed to be installed)
Copy the license file (usually named "mia.lic") you received from our support team into this folder
Select the menu Start > Programs > Mia-License Manager > FLEXlm Utilities, or double-click on the file "<Mia-License Manager Directory>\bin\lmtool.exe"
Select the "Start/Stop/Reread" tab. If the service "Mia license manager" is not selected, please select it in the "Service/License File" tab
Click on the "Start Server" button. At this stage, your license server configuration is complete and the server is started

Specify the license server

Each Mia-Software product must then specify the license server to be used.

The license server name will be asked by the Mia-Generation installer (or the Mia-Transformation installer). You can leave "localhost" in the server name field if the license server is installed on the same computer as Mia-Generation.

You can lately change the license server to be used :

Edit the <Mia-Generation Directory>\flexlm\mia_redirect.lic
Change the specified license server name in this file :
